THE SETUP

Start by writing 12 questions related to the topic or text you're studying.

Be strategic in your question selection, ensuring they are easy for students to answer.

Consider using the QAR framework to guide your question creation process.

Write each question on a separate card and make copies for each group.

Use different colors of paper for each copy to keep things organized.

IN CLASS

Divide your students into teams of 3.

Assign each student a letter that corresponds to a role: A (Asker), B (Responder), and C (Recorder).

Begin with the first rotation, where Student A fans out the question cards and asks Student B to pick a card.

Student A then reads the question aloud, and Student B formulates a response.

Student C records the response.

ROTATE ROLES

After the first rotation, have students rotate roles.

Make it simple by projecting a slide that shows the new roles.

Continue the activity with the new roles, allowing enough time for everyone to answer at least once.

You can even have students write out answers to remaining questions on their own.
